The African Legal Impact LL.M Scholarships was developed to encourage enrollment of students from Africa seeking improved legal education in University of California, Berkeley. However, because funds are very limited, the scholarship can only be provided to two exceptional candidate each year.

The scholarship is a full-tuition waiver. Each candidate will be responsible for paying only the $1,000 seat deposit, plus travel and living expenses.

Eligibility for African Legal Impact LL.M Scholarships

• To be qualified for the scholarship, you must own Citizenship or primary residence in Africa
• You also need an academic merit to be qualified for African Legal Impact LL.M Scholarships
• Each candidate need a Statement of Intention describing what he/she plans on achieving in Africa after graduating from the LL.M. professional track.
• To be qualified for African Legal Impact LL.M Scholarships, you must be admitted to the LL.M. professional track program. Scholarship application procedures will be provided to qualified admitted students.
• Each scholar must maintain a minimum grade standard of ‘P’ (pass) or higher in all classes during the first semester in order to maintain scholarship qualification during the second semester.
