Scholarship Benefits:

The award is worth $10,000, with the award to be paid in one installment, after the census date of the first semester of the postgraduate degree, unless otherwise specified in the letter of the award offer.

The recipient is responsible for making payment of all tuition fees by the prescribed date as set out by the University in each session. Beneficiaries of this scholarship award are responsible for the expenses of books, study resources, accommodation, and all other expenses of study.

ANU College of Law International Merit Scholarship Eligibility

  • To be eligible, applicants must have to meet the following criteria:
  • Candidates who have submitted an application for admission to the Master of Laws (LLM) degree program at the ANU College of Law.

How to Apply for ANU College of Law International Merit Scholarship

There is no separate application as candidates are automatically given consideration on the basis of satisfying the eligibility conditions. To be given consideration for the award, candidates are required to secure admission at ANU for a postgraduate degree program.

Selection

Selection is carried out based on academic merit. In the event where there is a tie in the highest academic records, candidates will be requested to present a short written statement. The scholarship award is provided to a candidate by the ANU College of Law Selection Committee. The ANU College of Law Scholarship Board retains the right to grant no award if it decides there is no candidate of satisfactory merit. The ANU College of Law Scholarship Board may also change the number of scholarship awards and/or provide the scholarship award at other times in extraordinary situations or based on the standard of applications or candidates (where funding allows).

The beneficiary may be required to take part in publicity for the scholarship award from time to time. This may comprise publicity in the state or region of residence or of schooling. Beneficiaries may be gotten in touch with for an interview and photograph. The University may also advertise the award by publishing the names of the beneficiaries. Procedure for such publicity will be carried out via the ANU College of Law or Strategic Communications and Public Affairs Office of the University.
