The university’s initial focus as a preparatory college for teachers resulted in a commitment to teacher preparation programs that continues to this day. Western State College of Colorado continued to grow, particularly after World War II when returning veterans attended on the GI Bill, and academic and co-curricular programs capitalizing on the college’s unique mountain setting were continually added. The institution was renamed Western State Colorado University in 2012. In September 2018, it changed its name to Western Colorado University.
Worth of Beware Air Scholarship
All successful candidates of Western Colorado University in-state applicants will be offered USD 2,500- USD 4,500 per year while out-of-state candidates will be offered USD 8,000- USD 10,000 per year.
Eligibility for Beware Air Scholarship
- To be eligible for the scholarship, each student should not receive WUE or CP tuition discounts.
- You should enroll and complete 24 credits hours each year for the continuation of the Beware Air Scholarship.
- Each applicant should have a CGPA of 3.0 for the continuation of Founders, Summit, and Scholars Award and 2.5 CGPA for the continuation of Advantage Award.
- To be qualified for the scholarship, maximum of 8 semesters of eligibility will be awarded to freshman students and 6 semesters of qualification to transfer students.
- You should also meet all the academic requirements to be eligible for Beware Air Scholarship.
