Eligibility for Deakin University Scholarships for International Students

To be eligible for Deakin University Scholarships, each candidate must fulfill all of the following requirements below:

• The required language for the scholarship is English.
• All world countries are eligible for the scholarship.
• To be qualified for Deakin University Scholarships, you must be a prospective international student for a coursework degree at the University.
• To be eligible for the scholarship, you must have achieved a 65% average (or equivalent) in previous studies.

Please note that the selection of successful candidates for the fixed number of scholarships will be competitive and may require scores above the stated minimum requirements.

• Interested applicants are expected to submit a completed Deakin International Scholarship Program application form (PDF, 536KB).
• You must also submit a personal statement (300 words) which must be written by you and reflect your personal views. It should also contain an outline of why you want to study at Deakin University. The personal statement should contain an overview of any extracurricular activities and work experience (paid or voluntary) you have undertaken.
• Candidates need a completed application to study at Deakin including academic transcripts.
• Candidates can then email his/her completed form to the Deakin International Admissions office.
• Please note that you may also be asked to attend an interview.
• As scholarships are subject to international quotas, scholars are advised to submit their application early to increase the chance of success. It is also recommended that students should submit their scholarship application at least one month prior to starting their studies at Deakin.
