The DEPM Prostate Cancer Research Scholarship award is established to inspire students to undertake further schooling at Honours level in the field of medicine at the Monash Alfred campus in the field of Public Health and Preventive Medicine, focusing principally on improving health outcomes for men diagnosed with prostate cancer.

Eligibility for DEPM Prostate Cancer Research Scholarship at Monash University
- Candidates from outside the home nation will often be required to satisfy specific English language requirements so as to be able to study at the university.
- Applicants must be Australian or New Zealand citizen, holder of an Australian permanent resident visa, permanent humanitarian visa or international student.
- Applicants must be commencing or continuing in a full-time School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine Honours program at the Monash Alfred campus
- Obtain a minimum weighted average mark (WAM) of 70% or above, across an undergraduate study in Bachelor of Medical Sciences (Honours) (MED4301 & MED4302), Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences (Honours) (BMS4100 & BMS4200), or the Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours) (HSC4011, HSC4001 & 4002).
How to Apply for DEPM Prostate Cancer Research Scholarship at Monash University
To be considered for the opportunity, applicants must take admission to a Bachelor of Medical Science (Honours), Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences (Honours), or the Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours) degree program. After that, all eligible students will be automatically assessed.
Selection criteria
- Students will be ranked according to undergraduate results and shortlisted students will be interviewed by Supervisor/s.
To retain this DEPM Prostate Cancer Research Scholarship:
- Maintain full-time enrolment and demonstrate satisfactory progress is being achieved. This will be determined by a brief report from the student’s Honours supervisor.
