Applications are invited from qualified candidates for the Florida Institute of Technology International Scholarships in the USA for the 2021/22 academic year.

Florida Tech was established in 1958 originally as Brevard Engineering College. It all began as an idea in the mind of Jerome P. Keuper, a imaginative physicist working at Cape Canaveral (presently NASA – Kennedy Space Center).

Florida Institute of Technology’s objective is to offer high-quality learning to a culturally diverse student body so as to get students ready for entering the international workforce, exploring higher-education opportunities and operating within their communities. The university also looks to improve knowledge through basic and practical research and to serve the varied economic, cultural and societal requirements of their local, state, national and global constituencies.

The university provides degree programs in a variety of science and engineering disciplines and is one of the few schools to offer aviation degree programs. The university is structured into four academic units: College of Engineering and Science, College of Aeronautics, Nathan Bisk College of Business, College of Psychology and Liberal Arts.

• Academic Scholarships

Partial academic or merit scholarship awards are on the basis of a candidate’s academic record in high school (weighted GPA). They are decided at the time of admission. Merit scholarship awards require that beneficiaries keep a minimum aggregate 2.60 GPA at Florida Tech for yearly renewal.

Panther Fund Merit Scholarship

All foreign candidates will be evaluated for a Panther Fund Merit Scholarship as most candidates to Florida Tech are offered some level of merit award.

• Athletic Scholarships

Florida Tech Athletic Scholarships (NCAA Division II) are granted by individual trainers via the athletics department. Florida Tech offers scholarship awards in men’s baseball, soccer, basketball, softball, women’s lacrosse, swimming and rowing. Athletic scholarship awards are obtainable to domestic (U.S.) and international students.

• Transfer Scholarships

Florida Tech Transfer Scholarship

This scholarship award cannot be merged with the Florida Tech Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship award.

Florida Tech Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship

Evidence of Phi Theta Kappa membership has to be submitted at the period of application. This scholarship award cannot be merged with the Florida Tech Transfer Scholarship award, but it may be merged with the FITS-STEM Scholarship award.

• Florida Tech Family Grants

Legacy Grant

Offspring of Florida Tech old students, enlisting in a full-time undergraduate program at Florida Tech, are qualified for a $2,500 award. This grant is renewable for up to four years. This scholarship award is granted in addition to any merit scholarship obtained by the student.

Family Grant

Siblings of scholars who are presently enlisted simultaneously as full-time undergraduates at Florida Tech are qualified for a $2,500 award. This award is renewable for up to four years. This scholarship award is granted in addition to any merit scholarship obtained by the student. All sibling students, when enlisted at the same time, will obtain this grant.

Worth of Florida Institute of Technology International Scholarships

• Panther Fund Merit Scholarship awards for foreign students vary in value but may provide up to $10,000 of tuition, irrespective of financial need.
• The Florida Tech Transfer Scholarship award is valued up to $10,000 each year if the candidate’s aggregate GPA is 3.0 or more at the university level.
• Also, the Florida Tech Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship award is valued up to $12,500 per year if the candidate applies and is granted admission to Florida Tech and was a member of Phi Theta Kappa.
