The International Excellence Scholarships is open for applications to all international offer holders of full-time undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. The university provide a number of services to support our staff, students, local communities and businesses. All of these groups can gain access to the university’s sport and fitness facilities and our libraries.
London Metropolitan University, popularly known as London Met, is a public research university in England. The University of North London formerly the Polytechnic of North London and London Guildhall University formerly the City of London Polytechnic unite in 2002 to create the university. The University’s foundation go back to 1848.
The London Metropolitan University has campuses in the City of London and in the London Borough of Islington, a museum, archives and libraries. However, special collections include the TUC Library, the Irish Studies Collection and the Frederick Parker Collection.
London Metropolitan University was created on 1st of August 2002 by the merger of London Guildhall University and the University of North London. However, in October 2006 the University opened a new Science Centre as part of a £30m investment in its science department at the North campus on Holloway Road, with a ‘Super Lab’ claimed to be one of Europe’s most improved science teaching facilities, and 280 workstations equipped with digital audio visual interactive equipment.
Every year, the university invests over £700,000 in its scholarship program to help academically exceptional candidates as well as students with exceptional achievements in different sports disciplines, such as hockey, tennis and basketball. The university has various student exchange program with academic institutions in the US and Europe, with financial support for those who participate through the Erasmus program.
Worth of International Excellence Scholarships at London Metropolitan University
- The University gives £1000 to any of its undergraduate international students who achieve ‘A’ grade marks.
- The International Excellence Scholarships offers postgraduate scholarships, a range of full tuition scholarships, including some scholarships with free accommodation.
- These scholarship includes a £2,500 tuition fee discount, only valid for the first academic year of study.
Eligibility for International Excellence Scholarships at London Metropolitan University
- To be eligible for these scholarship, you must be an international candidate.
- To be qualified for International Excellence Scholarships, you must have applied for a full-time bachelor’s or master’s degree at London Metropolitan University beginning in January 2022.
- Each candidate must have accepted a conditional or unconditional offer of admission for January 2022 to be eligible for these scholarship.
- You must have IELTS 6.5 (minimum) or equivalent unless English language exception applies (as it does for the majority of English-speaking nationals).
- To be qualified for these scholarship, you must be available to start academic studies at London Metropolitan University by 24 January 2022 – no deferral to a future academic year will be permitted.
- Candidate must be aged 18 or above when he/she enroll at London Metropolitan University.
- You must be able to satisfy current UK immigration requirements to be qualified for International Excellence Scholarships.
How to Apply for International Excellence Scholarships at London Metropolitan University
Candidates from other countries must complete and submit the application form for consideration by the scholarship panel. The University will aim to inform these applicants if their application has been considered successful by 3 December 2021. All unsuccessful applicants will be written to after this date.
