Merit Awards at Temple University in Japan 2020

Applications are welcomed for the International Merit Awards at Temple University which will be granted to foreign students who are looking to obtain a degree program at the University in Japan.

The scholarship program category is in three parts –

• Diamond Scholarship Award – It will cover 50% funding of the full-time tuition expense.
• Dean’s Scholarship Award – It will also cover 50% of the full-time tuition expense for two successive semesters dependent on maintaining a 3.0 GPA at TUJ.
• TUJ Scholarship Award – It is the singular award for the discounted matriculation fee.

Eligibility for Merit Awards at Temple University

To take be eligible for a scholarship award, all applicants must satisfy the following criteria:

• Maintain a CGPA of 3.0 or more at TUJ (3.2 or more for Diamond Scholarship award recipients)
• Stay registered at TUJ on a full-time (12-18 credits) basis in fall and spring semesters (9 credits in summer semester)

Merit Awards at Temple University – How to Apply

1. Fill out your Admissions Application by the Scholarship award Eligibility closing date and tick the relevant box on the admissions application form. There is no separate application form for the merit scholarship awards.
2. Tender supporting documents by the Scholarship Eligibility closing date. Examples of supporting items include:
   1. Letters of Recommendation – sent by counselors/teachers directly to ac@tuj.temple.edu or via postal mail.
   2. Personal copies of Awards/Honors – imaged copies can be e-mailed to ac@tuj.temple.edu
   3. Any other documents demonstrating exceptional qualifications. These may be e-mailed to ac@tuj.temple.edu
