Owen Browning Scholarships at University of Canterbury in New Zealand 2021
The University of Canterbury is inviting students who wish to undertake eligible Masters and Ph.D. programs in the School of Forestry at the University, to apply for the Owen Browning Scholarships in Forestry.
These scholarship awards are offered by the former Hutt Timber Holdings Limited, as a monument to the late Mr. Owen Browning, who was well-known in the development of the New Zealand timber trade.

The Owen Browning Scholarships at University of Canterbury provide the following programs in the School of Forestry:
- Master of Forestry Science (MForSc)
- MSc degree in Environmental Science
- Ph.D. degree in Forestry or Forestry Engineering

Scholarship value/inclusions:
A scholarship shall be tenable initially for 1 year in the case of a scholar studying for the Master of Forestry Science degree, for 1 year in the case of a scholar studying for the MSc degree in Environmental Science, and for 2 years in the case of a scholar studying for the Ph.D. degree in Forestry or Forestry Engineering. It is possible that the scholarship can be extended for a further year, on the recommendation of the Academic Board.

Eligible applicants are those who have applied to the abovementioned eligible Masters and Ph.D. degree programs.
