The university’s current campus is based on 690 acres (2.8 km2) along Lake Ontario. The improvement of the campus was planned by the architectural firm of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, who designed the major buildings.

State University of New York at Oswego comprises 46 buildings with classrooms, laboratories, residential and athletic facilities. The university’s MBA program has been internationally approved by AACSB.

The university is approved by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation. Oswego’s School of Business has international approval by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.
