Eligibility Criteria for Ronald A. Hammond Full Cost of Tuition Scholarship for U.S. Citizens and U.S. Permanent Residents Miami

Applicants are advised to meet the following conditions to be eligible for the Ronald A. Hammond Full Cost of Tuition Scholarship for U.S. Citizens and U.S. Permanent Residents at the University Of Miami:

  • All First-Year Admission Requirements must be met by November 1 for eligible students to be considered for Early Decision I or Early Action.
  • Only available to American citizens and legal permanent residents.

Interview Date, and Process Ronald A. Hammond Full Cost of Tuition Scholarship for U.S. Citizens and U.S. Permanent Residents

Early Action or Early Decision I applications must be submitted by November 1 to be considered. Those who are chosen to apply for the Hammond Scholarship are asked to submit an essay so that they can be considered as finalists. After reviewing every essay entry, the selection committee will decide which finalists should be awarded the Hammond Scholarship.

The University of Miami’s scholarship program will take place in early March, and recipients of the Hammond Scholarship will be asked to take part. Candidates will speak with UM faculty members and existing scholars as part of this event to learn more about the interest-driven education.

Application Process for Ronald A. Hammond Full Cost of Tuition Scholarship for U.S. Citizens and U.S. Permanent Residents

Fill out the Common Application and submit it. Applicants must pay a $70 nonrefundable application fee before submitting. Also, make sure you use the same email address throughout the whole application process, including when signing up for exams. You will be asked to submit an extra essay of 250 words if you are applying for Spring or Fall 2024.

You have the chance to show that you can articulate your ideas effectively and succinctly while maintaining your voice in these sections of the Common Application. List all extracurricular activities you are involved in; these will be considered during the admissions process.
