The International Masters Scholarship is offered to international students from selected countries who are applying for select Masters degrees at Edith Cowan University.

The scholarships are open to future international students seeking to enroll at Edith Cowan University.

Edith Cowan University is a public university in Perth, Australia. It is named in honor of the first woman to be elected to an Australian parliament, Edith Cowan, and is the only Australian university named after a woman.

Acquiring university status in 1991, the university was formed from an amalgamation of tertiary colleges with a history dating back to 1902 when the Claremont Teachers College was established, making it the current descendant of the first tertiary institution in Western Australia.

Edith Cowan University offers more than 300 courses across two metropolitan campuses, in Joondalup and Mount Lawley, and a regional campus in Bunbury, 200 kilometers (120 mi) south of Perth; many courses are also offered for study online.

In addition, the university has affiliations with several education institutions to achieve courses and programs offshore. In 2020, Edith Cowan University enrolled over 31,000 students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, about 7,000 of whom were international students.

Amongst Edith Cowan University’s divisions is the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), a performing arts training academy; the School of Nursing and Midwifery, which offers a big undergraduate nursing program, and the School of Education which offers a broad range of secondary teaching specializations.

However, the university provides Psychology and Community Studies and is home to the Western Australian Screen Academy. In the 2022 Good Universities Guide, Edith Cowan University was ranked among the top three Australian universities for teaching quality, skills development, student support, student-to-teacher ratio, learning resources, and general experience.

The university was also one of two national universities to have maintained a 5-star rating in teaching quality for 15 years. Edith Cowan University is also a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities, Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, and the International Association of Law Schools.

Furthermore, the 2018 ERA scale ranks the university 32nd out of Australian universities. The 2022 Good Universities Guide rates Edith Cowan University five stars, the highest star rating, for teaching quality and graduate starting salary.

The 2022 QS World University Rankings listed the university in the 651-700 band. The 2022 Times Higher Education (THE) Ranking listed Edith Cowan University in the 401-500 band.

Edith Cowan University is also named in The Times Higher Education (THE) Young Universities Under 50, rating listed 94 among a list of the best universities in the world under the age of 50.
