Imperial College London (often known simply as Imperial) is a public research university in London, England. Its history began with Prince Albert, Queen Victoria’s consort, who envisioned a cultural region that comprised the Royal Albert Hall, the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Natural History Museum, and many royal colleges. Imperial College London was founded by royal license in 1907, combining the Royal College of Science, the Royal School of Mines, and the City and Guilds of London Institute. The Imperial College School of Medicine was founded in 1988 by the merger of St Mary’s Hospital Medical School and Imperial College. Queen Elizabeth II established the Imperial College Business School in 2004.
Imperial College London specializes in science, engineering, business, and medicine. The main campus, where the majority of instruction and research are conducted, is in South Kensington. Imperial had a significant role in the development of fiber optics and the discovery of penicillin.
With more than 15,000 publications co-authored by Imperial and American writers over the past 10 years, the United States is the college’s leading international partner. A long-standing collaboration between Imperial College and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology may be traced back to the Second World War.

Eligibility Criteria for Imperial College London Life Scholarship
Candidates are advised to meet the following requirements to be eligible for the Imperial College London Life Scholarship:
- Be Lebanon-born or of Lebanon-ancestry
- Studying for a finance degree
- Being in a position of proven necessity
- Own and uphold an excellent academic record (80th percentile or higher).
- Be driven and aspirational enough to become the next industry leader.
