About New Brunswick Community College and Scholarship

Why enroll in classes at New Brunswick Community College? Through applied learning, NBCC, a collaborative, learner-centered institution, makes a creative contribution to social and economic progress. Collective pride has been generated in and for the College as they establish their reputation for providing life-altering learning opportunities and for having leaders who lead with respect, bravery, and empathy. Through promoting exceptional cooperation throughout the College and in larger communities, NBCC continuously develops new possibilities to assist learners, communities, and one another.

The New Brunswick Community College (NBCC) is a community college with campuses in Woodstock, Moncton, Miramichi, Saint John, St. Andrews, and Fredericton, where it has its main administrative offices. Over 90 programs are provided by New Brunswick Community College, which has six campuses, First Nations locations, and regional delivery sites spread across the province.

With the promulgation of the New Brunswick Community Colleges Act on May 29, 2010, New Brunswick Community College started using a self-governance model. The action made NBCC an independent Crown Corporation with an elected Board of Governors as the college’s reporting body.

The New Brunswick Community College offers over 90 regular programs in 18 different areas, as well as further training in numerous apprentice-able skills for both corporate customers and individual students through part-time courses. The Atlantic Colleges Tourism Education Consortia (ACTEC), which featured officials from post-secondary education institutions from the provinces of New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island, was founded with the help of New Brunswick Community College as one of its founding members. New Brunswick Community College students studying tourism have access to cross-institutional learning opportunities through ACTEC, as well as opportunities for professional growth for industry employees and professors.
