The University of Sussex is accepting applications for its partially funded Sussex MBA Scholarships.

About the University of Sussex and Scholarship

The University of Sussex, situated in Falmer, East Sussex, England, is a public research-intensive university. While its extensive campus primarily falls within the boundaries of Brighton and Hove, it is also surrounded by the scenic South Downs National Park, offering convenient access to central Brighton, located 5.5 kilometers (3.4 miles) away. The university was granted its royal charter in August 1961, marking it as one of the pioneering institutions of the plate-glass university generation.

The university’s diverse student body comprises over 20,000 students, with more than a third enrolled in postgraduate programs. Furthermore, approximately one-third of its academic staff hail from outside the United Kingdom. Over a thousand academics, representing over 140 different nationalities, contribute to the university’s vibrant academic community. In the 2021–22 academic year, the institution reported an annual income of £345.2 million, with an expenditure of £377.4 million.

In various university rankings, the University of Sussex has earned recognition. In the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2021, it was placed 20th in the UK and 160th globally. The Sunday Times ranked the university 19th nationally in 2021. Additionally, the Complete University Guide for 2017 ranked Sussex as the 15th best university in the UK.

The university secured the 187th position in the QS World University Rankings 2017 and the 205th position in the 2018 CWTS Leiden Ranking. Sussex also stood out in terms of sustainability, ranking 66th globally in 2016 on the UI GreenMetric ranking. Furthermore, the Complete University Guide for 2018 positioned Sussex as the sixth university in the UK for graduate prospects, and it secured the top spot in the South East region for graduates entering employment or further study immediately after graduation.

The University of Sussex offers a range of scholarships, varying from £1,500 to £5,000, to eligible applicants who can demonstrate significant management experience and/or have graduated with a good degree or another relevant qualification.

Eligibility Criteria for Sussex MBA Scholarships

Candidates are advised to meet the following conditions to be qualified for Sussex MBA Scholarships at the University of Sussex:

  • An offer to enroll in the Sussex MBA program must have been made to the candidate.
  • Either senior managerial experience or strong academic performance are requirements for the application.

Application Procedure for Sussex MBA Scholarships

The University’s PG Apply online application system is how you must apply for admission to the Sussex MBA program. Only after being admitted to the program may you apply for the MBA scholarships. Once they have been given a spot in the MBA program, applicants who believe they have strong degree results and/or appropriate (senior) management experience should email an informal expression of interest for the MBA scholarship to mba@sussex.ac.uk.

Scholarships will then be awarded depending on the interview and your original MBA application. You will be informed of the result once it has been determined whether or not you will get a scholarship. If a scholarship is given to you, you have one month to accept or reject the offer. The scholarship offer cannot be postponed to a later start date.
