About the University of Exeter and Scholarship
The University of Exeter, rooted in a rich history dating back to the establishment of its predecessor institutions in the 19th century, stands as a distinguished public research university in Exeter, Devon, England. Its precursor institutions, including St Luke’s College (1838), Exeter School of Science (1855), Exeter School of Art (1863), and the Camborne School of Mines (1888), laid the educational groundwork that culminated in the formation of the University of Exeter in 1955 when it received its royal charter. In post-nominals, the university is aptly abbreviated as Exon (from the Latin Exoniensis), serving as the suffix for honorary and academic degrees conferred by the institution.
The University of Exeter has four campuses, each of which adds something different to the overall academic fabric. The two main campuses, Streatham and St Luke’s are located in Exeter. Streatham is the bigger of the two and has a lot of administrative buildings. Through the Truro and Penryn campuses—the latter a joint venture with Falmouth institution under the Combined Universities in Cornwall (CUC) initiative—the institution also expands its reach throughout Cornwall. The university’s dedication to academic excellence and research is exemplified by the Exeter Streatham Campus Library, which is a powerful repository with over 1.2 million physical library items, including historical journals and special collections.
To achieve academic leadership globally, the University of Exeter is happy to present the Global Excellence Scholarships for the 2024–2025 academic year. These scholarships, which are intended to draw exceptional students from all over the world, are a prime example of the university’s commitment to developing a talented and diverse student body. International students from Sub-Saharan Africa and the Indian Ocean region are eligible to apply for the program, which offers them a special chance to pursue their academic goals at the University of Exeter.
The Global Excellence Scholarships, which come with a sizable tuition reduction, are evidence of the university’s commitment to supporting excellent students.
