About the University Of Waterloo and Scholarship
The main campus of the University of Waterloo, sometimes known as UWaterloo, UW, or Waterloo, is located in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. On 404 hectares (998 acres) of land, the main campus is situated close to “Uptown” Waterloo and Waterloo Park. The university also has four associated university colleges in addition to three satellite campuses. The institution has thirteen faculty-based schools and six faculties that oversee its academic programs. With more than 20,000 undergraduate students engaged in the university’s co-op program, Waterloo runs the biggest post-secondary co-operative education program in the world. A collection of 15 Canadian universities with a focus on research includes Waterloo.
In 2020, there will be over 36,000 undergraduate and 6,200 postgraduate students enrolled at the coed university. Numerous award winners, public servants, and business titans have been connected to Waterloo University, and alumni and former students may be found all around Canada and in more than 150 other countries. The Waterloo Warriors, the university’s varsity athletic teams, play in the U Sports’ Ontario University Athletics league.
The university was placed 151-200 worldwide and 7-8 in Canada in the 2022 Academic Ranking of World Universities. The institution was placed sixth in Canada and 112th overall in the 2024 QS World Institution Rankings. In the international university rankings published by Times Higher Education in 2023, Waterloo was ranked 201-250 overall and 8–10 in Canada. The institution matched with the institution of Ottawa for eighth position in Canada and 191st overall in the U.S. News & World Report 2022–23 rating.
Waterloo was placed third in the comprehensive university category in Maclean’s 2023 university rankings, which are based on nationwide rankings. Additionally, the institution came in second position in Maclean’s 2023 reputational poll of Canadian institutions.
The institution also performed well in several rankings that assessed graduate job prospects. Waterloo placed second in Canada and 24th overall in QS’s assessment of graduate employability for 2022. Waterloo was the ninth-ranked university in Canada and placed 191st globally in the Times Higher Education 2022 graduate employability rating. The institution came in at number 108 in the world and number seven in Canada in The New York Times’ employability poll from October 2011, which asked CEOs and chairpersons to choose the best universities from which they recruited.
A scholarship application at the University of Waterloo in Canada is welcomed by the applicant in 2024. Graduate students enrolled full-time in a Master’s or Doctoral program at the University of Waterloo are eligible to apply for the University of Waterloo Graduate Scholarship, which is typically worth $1,000 each term for up to three terms. The minimum cumulative GPA for eligible students in their present program or over the previous two full academic years must be first-class (80%), and they must also stay within the time restrictions of their graduate program.

Eligibility Criteria for the University Of Waterloo Graduate Scholarship
Applicants are advised to meet the following conditions to be eligible for the University Of Waterloo Graduate Scholarship:
- Graduate students from home countries and abroad who are enrolled full-time in a Master’s or Doctoral program.
- Required to have a minimum first-class (80%) cumulative average over the past two full academic years or in the present program.
- Must not exceed the program’s time constraints.
- Application is not necessary. Depending on their funding allotment, departments will automatically propose students.
