Application Process for University of New South Wales UNSW Graduate Scholarship

Finding a supervisor who shares your research interests and working preferences is essential to your success as a candidate for a higher research degree. The faculties listed below request that applicants submit an expression of interest.

Before applying, most faculties urge candidates to get in touch with possible supervisors. Look for supervisors and research projects in your region. Please email the principal supervisor with a copy of your resume and academic transcripts if you are interested in a research project that has been posted on the school’s website. The project description includes their contact information as well as any extra criteria.

The pre-admission interview will cover your intended research project and if suitable resources will be available after you have chosen a supervisor. After that, you must complete the Research Plan form. This will comprise a:

  • Description of your eligibility for admission to the program;
  • Describe your capacity for conducting high-quality research;
  • Justification for your selection of the project and management team; and
  • Describe the planned research project you have.

More details are available in the Document Submission Guidelines. After locating a supervisor, conducting your interview, creating a research description, and gathering your supporting materials, you are ready to submit your application using UNSW Apply Online. Only applications that are complete, or include all necessary papers, will move on to the next phase.

Simply mark the scholarship round for your desired term start date on the application form if you want to be eligible for one. Your program must be located at the same institution as your supervisor. The proper program code should be confirmed with your manager or by consulting the UNSW Handbook. Please only submit one application at once. You may use this site to look for scholarships. You can also visit the online application portal for further details.

The Application Deadline is: September 22, 2023
