Berlin International University of Applied Sciences is a private, non-profit university located in Berlin, Germany. It was originally known as BAU IB or BAU International Berlin – University of Applied Sciences. It was established in 2014 by the city of Berlin as a standalone Fachhochschule. According to German legislation, it is the 31st private university to be registered in Berlin. The Charlottenburg campus of Berlin International is divided into five distinct academic divisions: two faculties, a preparatory school, a research institution, and a library. It stands for a multicultural learning environment that gives pupils the resources to advance their intellectual development, life experiences, and creative abilities. Berlin International presently has 535 students registered, coming from 92 different nations.

One president and one vice president are in charge of Berlin International. They control the university’s academic programs. The Academic Senate, the University Advisory Board, as well as a representative of a non-profit management firm, evaluate their performance. Berlin International’s operational management is under the control of the Chancellor. As of June 5, 2015, Berlin International has received accreditation from the Berlin Senate Department of Education, Youth, and Science (Senatsverwaltung für Bildung, Jugend und Wissenschaft) as a state-recognized institution of higher learning in Germany.

Eligibility Criteria for BI International Scholarships

Applicants are advised to meet the following conditions to be eligible for the BI International Scholarships at the Berlin International University of Applied Sciences:

  • All students who are interested in applying are entitled to do so.
  • The Berlin International University of Applied Sciences accepts applications for its bachelor’s degree program.
  • The following requirements must be met by candidates in order to be considered:
  • Applications for the bachelor’s degree must be submitted before the deadline for the autumn semester.
  • The candidates must have academic proficiency and drive.
  • To satisfy the entry criteria for German universities, candidates must possess a German Abitur, Fachabitur, or equivalent.
  • Students must submit their results from the following English language proficiency exams:

TOEFL ITP – 543

TOEFL IBT – 74

IELTS (Academic) – 6 (in each subsection)

Cambridge FCE – B2

PTE Academic – 59

BAU ‘English Language Proficiency Exam’ – 60/100

IB Diploma ­- English A or B at HL or SL
