About Flinders University and Scholarship
Eleven locations make up the public research institution Flinders University, which is dispersed across South Australia and the Northern Territory. Its corporate offices are located in Adelaide. It was founded in 1966 and given the name Flinders in honor of British sailor Matthew Flinders, who explored and recorded the Australian and South Australian coastline in the early 19th century.
156 acres of natural woods and gardens surround the main campus of Flinders University, which is situated in Bedford Park in Adelaide’s south. Tonsley, the Central Business District of Adelaide, Renmark, Alice Springs, and Darwin all have additional campuses. It belongs to the group of innovative research universities known as IRU.
Flinders University is the best university in the nation for postgraduate employment outcomes, according to the 2021 Graduate Outcome Survey – Longitudinal, released by the Australian Government’s Quality Indicators for Learning and Teaching.

The main campus of the university is situated in the Bedford Park district of inner southern Adelaide, some 12 kilometers south of Adelaide’s city. In the middle of the city, near Tonsley and Victoria Square, the university is also visible. The Northern Territory, southwest Victoria, and rural South Australia all maintain a variety of facilities for outside education. A variety of offshore programs are also provided, mostly in the Asia-Pacific area, and as of 2020, 19.5% of the on-campus student body was made up of foreign students.
More than 160 undergraduate and graduate programs, as well as higher degree research supervision in all fields, are available at Flinders University. New information and communication technologies are used in many courses to enhance in-person instruction and offer flexible possibilities.
