Application is now open for the University of Hamburg Cluster of Excellence Qualification Scholarships. Interested candidates are encouraged to send their applications in before the deadline date.

About the University of Hamburg and Scholarship

Hamburg, Germany’s University of Hamburg (German: Universität Hamburg, usually abbreviated as UHH) is a public research university. The Hamburg Colonial Institute (Hamburgisches Kolonialinstitut), the Academic College (Akademisches Gymnasium), and the former General Lecture System (Allgemeines Vorlesungswesen) were combined to form it on March 28, 1919. The primary campus is situated in Rotherbaum’s central district, and the city-state is home to other connected research centers and institutes. UHH has seven Nobel Prize winners and one Wolf Prize winner among its members.

To give master’s degree students the chance to learn about and engage with the excellent research being done within the cluster, the Cluster of Excellence seeks to award scholarships. The cluster, which focuses on investigating the dynamics of complex systems, connects ideas and approaches for researching controlled quantum systems at several scales, including bigger molecules, solid-state systems, and nanosystems.
