Under the auspices of this fellowship, 20 Indian students are funded annually. However, only the recipient’s tuition and fees are covered by the Cornell University Tata Scholarship award.

Only eight semesters of funding will be available for programs (like B.Arch) that require 10 semesters of full-time enrollment. Eligibility Criteria for Cornell University Tata Scholarship
To be eligible for the Cornell University Tata Scholarship, a candidate must meet the requirements listed below:
- Must be an Indian national or resident.
- Be a graduate of any upper secondary school in India.
- Financial Requirement: Must be in a position to receive need-based assistance.
- Language Ability: English either a TOEFL or IELTS score must be submitted.
- IELTS: 7.0
- TOEFL-iBT: 100
- A Cornell University admissions offer is required for enrollment in any undergraduate program.
The following fields of study will be given special preference: art, engineering, agriculture, applied economics and management, biological and life sciences, and other sciences.
