Eligibility Criteria for Economics Postgraduate Coursework Indigenous Scholarship

Candidates are advised to meet the following conditions to be qualified for the Economics Postgraduate Coursework Indigenous Scholarship at the University of Queensland:

  • be a person of Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent
  • be a domestic student
  • must be enrolled, or intending to enroll, in one of these programs:
    • Master of Economics
    • Master of Economics and Public Policy
    • Master of Health Economics Master of International Economics and Finance.
    • Master of Applied Econometrics
    • Master of Development Economics

Selection Criteria

The admission office will consider: 

  • academic achievement
  • appropriate work experience
  • interest in and advantage of studying the program
  • personal interests and accomplishments.

Application Process for Economics Postgraduate Coursework Indigenous Scholarship

Interested and eligible candidates for the scholarship should fill out the online application form. Each candidate will need the following:

  • academic records
  • confirmation of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander status
  • a letter summarizing the following:
    • why do you wish to study postgraduate economics with the school and how it will be of help to you
    • a summary of your work history.

You might also include accomplishments and hobbies you have that you feel are relevant.
