The biggest technical institute in Auckland, New Zealand is called Unitec Institute of Technology (Te Whare Wānanga o Wairaka in Māori). 16,844 students pursue a variety of courses in programs ranging from certificate to postgraduate degree level (levels 1 through 9).

Eligibility Criteria for Master of Applied Science (Biodiversity Management) Scholarship

Candidates are advised to meet the following requirements to be eligible for the Master of Applied Science (Biodiversity Management) Scholarship at the Unitec Institute of Technology:

  • All nationalities are eligible.
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The Master of Applied Science (Biodiversity Management) program at the institution will be the recipient of the scholarship.
  • Acceptable Requirements: To be considered, candidates must fulfill all of the following requirements:
  1. Received a place offer in the Unitec Masters Program
  2. Have committed to doing a minimum of ninety credits worth of research.
  3. Possess a minimum average grade, as shown below, or a grade comparable in all prior coursework at Level 7 or above;
  4. A B+ is the minimum required for program-level scholarships.
  5. For Māori and Pacific scholarships, a minimum grade of B is required.
  6. A B- is the minimum required for industry scholarships.
  7. If needed, the GPA can be determined using the provisional grades.
  8. These scholarships are not available to full-time Unitec employees.
  9. If none of the students match the aforementioned qualifying requirements, T? Papa Rangahau has to be informed right away.
  10. When several applications from students in a given program are received and all of them fulfill the requirements, the directors or APMs, at their discretion, must set up an open application and selection procedure.
  11. All additional scholarships that applicants have been awarded, have applied for, or plan to apply for must be disclosed. Scholarships to students with other scholarships may or may not be awarded by directors or APMs.
  12. The program, Priority Group, and Industry Scholarship review panels reserve the right to decide whether to include or exclude a student if they miss scholarship deadlines because of technical enrollment problems or other Unitec-caused circumstances beyond their control. To enhance the processes, these organizations ought to report this discretion back to the PGRSC.
  • Supporting Documents: Students must fulfill the University’s document requirements to be eligible for this program.
  • Admission Standards: Applicants must fulfill the University’s admission standards to be considered for the program.
  • Language Requirement: The applicant must speak and understand English extremely well. As a result, English should be used while writing the application.
