Benefits:
Bursaries are available for up to three years of full-time study and six years of part-time study (subject to good progress), with one bursary covering 100% of full-time enrollment costs and two bursaries covering 75% of part-time enrollment fees at the home rate. International students are entitled to apply for bursaries, but they will be responsible for covering the difference in tuition between their home country and abroad.

The Department has a founded MPhil/PhD Education and an MPhil/PhD in Art Practice and Learning. Together, these programs provide options for study in a broad range of educationally related areas. Applications are encouraged, especially in the categories listed below:

Note: To be considered for a spot on the MPhil/PhD in Education, all interested students must first apply to the department. A remote interview will be requested for the shortlisted candidates.
Guidelines for writing an outline research proposal
If you want to pursue an MPhil or PhD at Goldsmiths, a strong research proposal is necessary. It should include information on the subject matter you are interested in as well as your knowledge and background in the field. The length of the proposal should range from 1,500 to 2,000 words. Even though the precise form may change depending on what you want to perform, you should try to include the following:
Title
Even if this title is merely provisional, it should make it obvious which academic area you are studying and where your research will be concentrated.
Introduction
This should describe the overall area of study and why you think it’s vital to research a particular facet of it. It is useful to explain how your personal experience led you to the specific research questions you are posing and why you believe you are qualified to conduct the study.
Main research questions
Clearly state what it is that you hope to learn. To the extent possible given the time and resources at hand, try to make your research questions as narrowly focused as possible.
Reviewing the literature
