London Business School EMBA (Dubai) Scholarships, UK 2023/2024

London Business School is now accepting applications for its partially funded EMBA (Dubai) Scholarships.

About London Business School and Scholarship

Dr. Arthur Earle served as the Dean when the London Graduate School of Business Studies, now known as London Business School, was established in 1964. The school was established as a corporation and recognized as an institution with recognized professors by the University of London in 1965. Both the Senior Executive Program and the first Executive Development Program made their debut in 1966. The same year, Sheila Cross entered as the school’s first female full-time MSc student. The School introduced the Sloan Fellowship MSc program in 1968, which was the first of its kind outside of the US. The program, which had 17 students enrolled, was supported by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation.

The School’s inaugural Ph.D. program began in 1969, and Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II officially opened the Regent’s Park campus in 1970. For the first time, women made up over 15% of the student body in 1974, when the first Ph.D. was awarded. The school’s former dean, Sir Andrew Likierman, led the 1983 start of the first part-time MBA program. The institution got the power to grant and award degrees when it received its royal charter and changed its name to the London Business School in 1986. The School received the Queen’s Award for Export in 1992 in honor of its work in providing managers and businesses all around the world with educational services.

The school launched its first Masters in Finance program the next year, and in 2001, in collaboration with Columbia Business School, it launched the EMBA-Global degree program.

A second campus was established in Dubai in 2007 to provide Executive Education and MBA programs. In conjunction with the University of Hong Kong and Columbia Business School, the school launched two new programs in 2009: the Masters in Management (MiM) and the EMBA-Global Asia. To increase its teaching space by 70%, the school bought Marylebone Town Hall in 2012 and refurbished it.

The structure was dubbed “The Sammy Ofer Centre” in honor of the Ofer Family, a kind contributor who contributed to the construction of the structure, which was completed in 2017. In addition to leasing the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists’ neighboring building, which LBS will inhabit in 2020, the school also introduced a new program in 2016 called the Masters in Financial Analysis, which is geared toward recent graduates who want to work in finance.

The 150 academic members of the school collaborate with 16 research centers or institutes. The school was ranked as the third department in the UK for business and management research by the 2021 Research Excellence Framework.

All applicants for the Executive MBA Dubai program’s September 2023 intake are self-funding. Individuals who exhibit great leadership potential and a dedication to maintaining the success of the London Business School Executive MBA will be given the scholarships.
