About Monash University and Scholarship

Monash University is a public research university with its headquarters in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia (/mnae/). It was established in 1958 and is the second-oldest university in the state, bearing the name of a notable World War I general by the name of Sir John Monash. There are several campuses for the institution, including one in Malaysia and five in Victoria (Clayton, Caulfield, Peninsula, and Parkville). In addition, Monash maintains facilities for research and instruction in Prato, Italy; Mumbai, India; Suzhou, China; and Tangerang, Indonesia. Additionally, it keeps graduate research schools operating in each of those nations. Courses from Monash University are available in several nations, including South Africa.

At Monash University, you can find significant research facilities like the Monash Law School, the Australian Synchrotron, the Monash Science Technology Research and Innovation Precinct (STRIP), the Australian Stem Cell Centre, the Victorian College of Pharmacy, 100 research centers, and 17 cooperative research centers. The total revenue earned in 2019 was about $2.72 billion (AUD), while the income from external research was $462 million. 2019 enrollment at Monash includes more than 25,000 graduates and over 55,000 undergraduate students. It receives the most applications of any institution in the state of Victoria.

In every edition of the QS World University Rankings, Monash is rated between 55 and 70 among the best institutions worldwide. Monash University was ranked first worldwide in pharmacy and pharmacology by QS World in 2022. The Clayton, Caulfield, Parkville, and Peninsula campuses of Monash are listed in the Good Institutions Guide’s list of Australian institutions where it is most tough for domestic students to get accepted, with each campus obtaining a score of 5/5 for entry requirements. Of all Australian universities in Victoria, Monash has the most demand for admission from domestic high school graduates.

In 2009, one in four candidates listed Monash as their top choice. This translates to high school graduates from Victoria expressing more than 15,000 first preferences. More Victoria’s top 5% of high school graduates select Monash than any other university. The largest percentage of any Victorian institution in 2010—nearly 50% of the top 5% of high school graduates—chose to enroll at Monash.

The Engineering Masters Pathway Scholarship is a program that Monash University provides to both local and international students to recognize achievement and support the students in realizing their goals, regardless of their circumstances. For the 2023 Engineering Masters Pathway Scholarship to study in Australia, interested and qualified candidates are invited to apply.
