MBA Student Scholarship – International at the University of Queensland, Australia 2023

The University of Queensland is accepting applications for its partially funded MBA Student Scholarship – International.

About the University of Queensland and Scholarship

In Queensland, plans for a university first surfaced in the 1870s. A royal commission led by Sir Charles Lilley in 1874 suggested that a university be founded right away. The UQ St Lucia ferry port, the westernmost stop, and conclusion of the CityCat service, provides service to the University of Queensland.

The University of Queensland bus station at Chancellor’s Place in the west connects travelers to Brisbane’s inner west suburbs such as Indooroopilly, Toowong, and Milton; the UQ Lakes busway station in the east, the western terminus of the Eastern Busway, offers services to Brisbane’s inner south suburbs such as Woolloongabba, Carindale, and Mount Gravatt via the Eleanor Schonell Bridge. Translink also runs two bus stations on campus. To get to Dutton Park, walkers, and bicycles can also use this bridge to cross the Brisbane River. Toowong Railway Station, Park Road Railway Station, and Dutton Park Railway Station are the nearest stops on the Queensland Rail City network.

In 2014, UQ sold the Ipswich facility to the University of Southern Queensland in the belief that USQ will make greater use of this rural teaching facility. On roughly 25 hectares (62 acres), the campus included more than 5001 pupils and nearly 20 buildings. There were classes in the social sciences, business, medicine, and the arts as well as interaction design. It is situated just south of the CBD in Ipswich, Queensland, close to the city center. Limestone Park, Workshops Rail Museum, and RAAF Base Amberley are some of the nearby attractions.

The investment portfolio of the University of Queensland is a hotly contested topic. In 2013, the student organization Fossil Free UQ launched a campaign for the divestment of fossil fuels, with the assistance of 350. org. Since fossil fuels are what causes climate change, the campaign’s objective is to “freeze all new investments and phase out all current investments in coal, petroleum, and gas over the next five years.”

The MBA Director, whose judgment is final, may choose to grant the MBA Student Scholarship – International. Not every scholarship will be given out every year. Scholarship extensions to the next semesters are not allowed. Scholarships won’t be kept open for more than 24 months.
