The RA Simpson International Scholarship, a testament to the university’s commitment to global perspectives in education, has been made possible through a generous endowment from the family of the late Mr. Robert Allen Simpson. Mr. Simpson, a founding member of the Flinders University Council and an honorary degree recipient, played a significant role in the university’s establishment.

The primary objective of the RA Simpson International Scholarship is to support students in undertaking a portion of their academic program abroad. By doing so, the scholarship aims to enrich the students’ Flinders University experience by providing them with valuable international exposure and perspectives. This initiative reflects Flinders University’s dedication to fostering a well-rounded and globally aware academic community.
