Eligibility Criteria for International Ph.D. Scholarships in Embrittlement-Tolerant Alloys for Safe Hydrogen Transmission and Storage

Applicants are advised to meet the following conditions to be eligible for the International Ph.D. Scholarships in Embrittlement-Tolerant Alloys for Safe Hydrogen Transmission and Storage at the University of Sydney:

  • Students from both domestic and international universities may apply.
  • Eligible Courses or Subjects: Students may apply to the Faculty of Engineering’s Ph.D. program.
  • Qualification Standards: All of the following requirements must be met by candidates to be considered:
  1. Whether you are an American or foreign student.
  2. Have received an unconditional offer of admission to the Faculty of Engineering’s full-time PhD program.
  3. Possess a master’s degree with a significant research component in the disciplines of either materials engineering, mechanical engineering, or physics or an honors degree (first class), first-class equivalent, or both.
  4. Under the direction of Dr. Yi Sheng (Eason) Chen, the candidate must be willing to conduct research on embrittlement-tolerant alloys for secure hydrogen transport and storage.
  • Admission requirements include a First Class or Second Class Upper degree in honors or the equivalent, or a Master’s degree with a significant research component.
  • Students must submit their results from the following English language proficiency exams: IELTS – 6.5
