University of British Columbia Simons Award in Nuclear Disarmament and Global Security for International Students in Canada for 2023/2024

Outstanding foreign students are invited to apply for the Simons Award in Nuclear Disarmament and Global Security, which is sponsored by the Liu Institute for Global Issues at the UBC School of Public Policy and Global Affairs. For the academic year 2023–2024, the award is available. The financing initiative seeks to assist both domestic and foreign students who wish to pursue a master’s or doctorate at UBC in Canada.

Benefits of Simons Award in Nuclear Disarmament and Global Security

For the academic year 2023-2024, the University of British Columbia will give local and foreign students a minimum of $1,000 to $1,500.

Eligibility for Simons Award in Nuclear Disarmament and Global Security

  1. All nationalities are eligible.
  2. Acceptable Courses or Subjects: Master and Ph.D. programs in global security and nuclear disarmament.
  3. Acceptable Standards: Application requirements for the Simons Award in Nuclear Disarmament and Global Security include:
  • be enrolled in a Ph.D. or Master’s program.

Application Procedure

  • You should apply for admission to the University of British Columbia’s Master’s and Doctoral degree programs if you wish to participate in the Simons Award in Nuclear Disarmament and Global Security program. Candidates will be considered for the scholarship after registering.
  • Supporting Documents: Candidates are required to provide two business reference letters as well as a one-page overview of their engagement in business and leadership philosophy.
  • Admission Requirements: Before applying for admission, applicants must confirm the program’s entry requirements.
  • Language Requirement: To be admitted to a university, applicants from outside their native country frequently need to fulfill strict English language requirements.
