About the University of Nottingham and Scholarship

The University of Nottingham can trace its history back to the establishment of an adult education school in 1798 as well as the University of Cambridge’s University Extension Lectures, which were the nation’s first of their type when they began in 1873.

The University of Nottingham’s scholarship program, the ASEAN and Oceania Undergraduate Excellence Award, is intended to assist overseas students who have demonstrated genuine interest in their chosen field of study along with exceptional academic achievement. High-achieving overseas students from Southeast Asia, Australasia, and the South Pacific area can apply for scholarships from the university that range from £2,000 to £6,000 and cover tuition for the first year of the selected degree program.

Selection Criteria

You don’t need to reply to your UCAS offer before completing your scholarship application. But only those students who fully embrace the offer to study with them at UCAS will receive prizes. Once all scholarship applications have been evaluated, scholarships will be given out. In mid-May 2024, the school will get in touch with you to confirm the status of your application.

Students may be able to apply for more than one University of Nottingham award under specific circumstances. Students may very seldom receive offers for both the Undergraduate Excellence Award and another scholarship, such as one from their academic school or a sporting scholarship. The school strives to avoid double awarding to maximize the reach of the university’s scholarship program, although in rare circumstances if the sum does not surpass 100% of tuition costs, this could be permitted. Should you be granted this scholarship, the amount will be subtracted from the tuition fees you must pay to the University of Nottingham. You won’t receive tuition fee scholarships directly from the college.

Application Process for ASEAN and Oceania Undergraduate Excellence Award

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must first apply to the University of Nottingham for an undergraduate degree program and be accepted into the program. Search for courses and learn how to apply UCAS to apply. Following the receipt of your offer, you can apply for this scholarship via the NottinghamHub scholarships page. Your application will include questions about your goals, study schedules, motivations for studying with the school, and, if relevant, your anticipated grades.
