The University of Leeds, located in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England, traces its roots back to 1874 when it was established as the Yorkshire College of Science. In 1884, it merged with the Leeds School of Medicine, founded in 1831, and was subsequently named Yorkshire College. The university became part of the federal Victoria University in 1887, joining Owens College (later the University of Manchester) and University College Liverpool (later the University of Liverpool). King Edward VII granted a royal charter to the University of Leeds in 1904.

Eligibility Criteria for University of Leeds Business School International Excellence Scholarships
Candidates are advised to meet the following conditions to be eligible for the University of Leeds Business School International Excellence Scholarships:
- All nationalities are eligible.
- Courses or Subjects Acceptable: Masters scholarships will be given out for Business Masters programs, except Executive Leadership Level 7 Apprenticeship / MSc and MSc Sustainable Business Leadership (online).
- Acceptable Requirements: To be considered, candidates must fulfill all of the following requirements:
- For fee reasons, categorized as an international student
- Applied for a 2024–2025 Business Masters program that would be accepted.
- Not receiving any further assistance that would cover more than 100% of the tuition price in addition to this scholarship
- Showcase an excellent academic record and a forecasted or actualized 2:1 (Hons) bachelor’s degree, or an equal
- Demonstrate outstanding interpersonal and professional abilities through extracurricular activities and/or job experience.
- Show that you have what it takes to add to the social and cultural variety of the Master’s programs and the student body.
- Admission Requirements: Applicants must fulfill the prerequisites to be admitted to the University of Leeds’ Master of Business program.
- Language Requirement: Prospective students must review the University’s English language requirements.
