About the University of Huddersfield and Scholarship
Informally known as Huddersfield Institution, the University of Huddersfield is a public research institution in the English town of Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. Although it has been a university since 1992, it has a history of earlier institutions that date back to the 19th century. It has made teaching quality a top priority, and in 2017 it won the first-ever Higher Education Academy Global Teaching Excellence Award and a Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) Gold Award. In terms of the percentage of staff members having teaching credentials, it has constantly been placed among the best institutions in England, and in 2022 it held the top spot with 94%.
The University has also increased its emphasis on the caliber of its research, and as of 2022, more than three-quarters of its academic staff members have doctorates, which places them third in England.

Inspiring Global Professional Scholarship – Eligibility Criteria
Applicants are advised to meet the following prerequisites to be qualified Inspiring Global Professional Scholarship at the University of Huddersfield:
- Be an international student who pays fees.
- You should be applying for a full-time taught undergraduate or graduate course.
- You must completely self-fund your studies if you want to avoid obtaining any financial aid.
- You need to have a minimum GPA of 2.1 or the equivalent for postgraduate study, as well as fulfill the course’s English and academic entrance criteria.
- These scholarships are not available for master’s by research programs.
- These scholarships are not available to master’s students who have been accepted to the Huddersfield Business School. Based on academic accomplishment, master’s degrees with placement courses in the School of Computing and Engineering may be eligible.
Exclusions include:
Application for MA TESOL with Placement in Nursing and Allied Health Professional Courses (Midwifery, Physiotherapy, Podiatry, Occupational Therapy, Operating Department Practice) from international students.
Ineligible applicants include those having refugee, asylum-seeker, or indefinite permission to stay in the UK status.
Interview Date, and Process for Inspiring Global Professional Scholarship
If they have received a scholarship, students will be informed in their offer letter. International students who qualify will receive the grant for each academic year of their program, excluding their placement year. There won’t be any other University or outside scholarships offered at the same time as this one.
