About Keele University and Scholarship

Keele University, officially known as the University of Keele, is a public research university located in Keele, Staffordshire, England. It was founded in 1949 as the University College of North Staffordshire and received university status by Royal Charter in 1962.

Keele University is situated on a large rural campus covering 625 acres (253 hectares) near the village of Keele. The campus features extensive woods, lakes, and Keele Hall, which is set in the Staffordshire Potteries region. Additionally, the university has a science park and a conference center, making it one of the largest campus universities in the UK. The School of Medicine at Keele operates its clinical programs from a separate campus located at the Royal Stoke University Hospital, while the School of Nursing and Midwifery is based at the nearby Clinical Education Centre.

The university has traditionally participated in the UCAS clearing process, during which it may lower its entry requirements to fill the remaining places. In August 2023, Keele University reduced its academic requirements to 64 UCAS points or the equivalent of 2 A-levels at grades C in dual and single honors degree programs that still had vacancies.

Scholarships in the form of tuition fee reductions are provided by Keele University to qualified applicants. International students who can pay for their tuition and who plan to begin their studies in September 2023 or January 2024 at Keele University are eligible to apply for these scholarships.

Students who currently receive financial aid from outside agencies, such as the local government, nonprofits, or private groups, are not eligible for the scholarships. Students must be enrolled in taught postgraduate courses at Keele University beginning in September 2023 that correspond to at least one year of full-time postgraduate study and result in a named award of at least the Postgraduate Diploma level to be eligible for these scholarships.

These awards are not available to students who are enrolled in Ph.D. or M.Phil. programs. There is no need to submit a separate application for the KUIC Postgraduate Progression Scholarship; students who have been offered admission to particular postgraduate programs at Keele University will automatically be eligible.
