The Queensland University of Technology International PhD Scholarships in Mathematical Analysis of Biochemical Reaction Networks, Australia 2023

Application is now open for the Ph.D. Scholarships in Mathematical Analysis of Biochemical Reaction Networks at the Queensland University of Technology. Interested applicants are encouraged to send in their applications before the deadline date.

About Queensland University of Technology and Scholarship

Brisbane, Queensland, Australia’s major coastal metropolis of Brisbane is home to Queensland University of Technology (QUT), a public research institution. Gardens Point and Kelvin Grove are the two campuses where QUT is situated in the Brisbane region.

To significantly advance the rapidly growing subject of Robust Perfect Adaptation, the Ph.D. dissertation will entail mathematical modeling and study of biochemical reaction networks and biological signaling pathways. Here are a few instances:

The project can be modified to fit the interests of the individual student and can either be heavily theoretical or more application-focused. The student will cooperate with other research students in Dr. Araujo’s research group on relevant studies in mathematical biology and will be based in the School of Mathematical Sciences at QUT. The only need is an interest in using mathematical concepts to examine basic issues in biology and/or medicine. No prior knowledge of biology (or mathematical biology) is required. The student will get the chance to work with fascinating new experimental data, participate in cutting-edge international partnerships, and collaborate with eminent Australian scholars.

The chosen candidate will possess a four-year Bachelor’s degree with a first-class honors major in mathematics (including applied mathematics), physics, engineering, or a closely related mathematical discipline. Strongly invited to apply are outstanding senior undergraduate students planning to graduate in 2023.
