Eligibility Criteria for University of Kent International Scholarships Taught Masters Students
Applicants are advised to meet the following conditions to be qualified for University of Kent International Scholarships Taught Masters Students:
- The student should apply to the University of Kent (any study location would do) for a taught postgraduate degree program beginning in January 2024.
- The applicant’s status as a foreign fee payer must have been established.
- The candidate needed to have accepted an unconditional offer by the scholarship deadline.
- Just overseas students who pay fees are eligible for this award, therefore please be advised of that. For January 2024, EU students who are eligible for the special EU fee rate are not eligible for this award.
Required Documents
- The applicant has to send in the necessary supporting documentation with their application.
- A 500-word personal essay explaining “why you feel you should be awarded the scholarship and how you might support Kent in its efforts as a global institution” should be submitted.
The university is pleased to carry on its long-standing custom of welcoming foreign students worldwide by offering several scholarships for admittance at the taught master’s level. The scholarships are worth £3,000 toward the cost of tuition for a year and are open to nationals of any country paying foreign fees and beginning a program in January 2024.
Application Process for University of Kent International Scholarships Taught Masters Students
To apply for the International Scholarship at the University of Kent and understand the process better, please follow the steps outlined below:
- Access the Applicant Portal: Log in to the applicant portal provided by the University of Kent.
- Select Your Application: Once you’re logged in, navigate to the “applications” tab and locate your submitted application.
- Access the Funding Options: In your submitted application, you will find a “funding” button. Click on this button to explore the scholarships available to you.
- Apply for the International Scholarship: Look for the International Scholarship among the options. You will be eligible to apply for this scholarship once you have received an offer from the university. Click on “Apply” and follow the provided steps to submit your scholarship application.
- Shortlisting Based on Academic Achievement: Scholarships will be shortlisted based on your academic performance and achievements up to the present time.
- Evaluation of Your Program Application: The final decisions will also consider your complete program application, including your statement and any references received.
- Recruitment and Selection Panel: The final recruitment and selection panel(s) will convene during the week commencing 11 December 2023. Applicants will be notified of the final decision shortly after this period.
- Acceptance of Scholarship Offer: If you are successful in securing the scholarship, please note that you must accept the offer within 2 weeks of receiving it.
- University’s Right to Allocate Awards: The University of Kent retains the right not to allocate the awards if the selection panel does not identify suitable candidates.
- Scholarship Terms and Conditions: The International Scholarship is subject to the complete University of Kent Scholarship Terms and Conditions. Successful candidates will receive these terms at the time of the award.
