About the University of Essex and Scholarship
Why do students pick the University of Essex? The University of Essex, which is dedicated to transformative education, is a research-driven institution where students receive extensive exposure and hands-on training. To provide academic staff members the chance to improve their teaching techniques both within and outside the classroom, workshops are also held for them.
Essex, England is home to the University of Essex, a public research institution. It was one of the first institutions to use plate glass, founded in 1965 by royal license. The motto “Thought the harder, heart the keener” is taken from the Anglo-Saxon epic “The Battle of Maldon,” and the university shield has the old arms linked to the Kingdom of Essex.
It has three campuses in the county, the other two being in Southend-on-Sea and Loughton, with Wivenhoe Park serving as the main campus. The University of Essex is helping students with the expense of tuition fees by providing one undergraduate scholarship and one postgraduate scholarship. The Ian James Evans International Scholarships are available to students for the school year 2023–2024.
Only foreign and domestic undergraduate or graduate students at Essex Law School who are deaf, blind, or wheelchair users or are in financial need are eligible for the award. You can apply to be considered if you have taken an LLB course or an LLM in international human rights law. The chosen students will get full tuition coverage as well as a stipend of £500 for additional associated expenses.
One scholarship of £9,660 (or an equivalent fee cut for overseas students) will be provided by Essex Law School to a Postgraduate student pursuing an LLM in overseas Human Rights Law who can show they are experiencing financial hardship.
