Eligibility Criteria for Maxwell King PhD Scholarship

Applicants are advised to meet the following conditions to be eligible for the Maxwell King PhD Scholarship at Monash University:

  • Required Language: English
  1. General English Language Test requirements: IELTS: (6.5) overall (no band lower than 6.0); TOEFL: (79+); Reading: 13, Listening: 12, Speaking: 18, and Writing: 21.
  2. requirements for the arts, business, and economics English language tests: IELTS score of (7) overall (no band lower than 6.5) and (94+) Writing 24, Speaking 20, and Reading 19 on the TOEFL.
  • All nations in the world are eligible.

  2. A New Zealand citizen.
  3. An Australian citizen.
  4. Australian permanent resident.
  5. Australian humanitarian visa holder.
  • Have applied for a scholarship this year;
  • Be enrolled in or plan to enroll in a PhD program at Monash University.

Application Process for Maxwell King PhD Scholarship

Unless you are already enrolled, applications for graduate research fellowships are submitted at the same time as applications for your course. Both the admissions and scholarship processes use the same application. You don’t need to mention which scholarship you’re applying for since, if you’re eligible, you’ll be taken into account for all graduate research fellowships.
