Eligibility Criteria for Fellowships in Theoretical Computer Science and/or Combinatorial Optimization
Applicants are advised to meet the following requirements to be qualified for Fellowships in Theoretical Computer Science and/or Combinatorial Optimization at the University of Copenhagen:
- Eligible Countries: This opportunity is open to international students.
- Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship is available for students interested in pursuing a Ph.D. in the Department of Computer Science.
- Admissible Criteria: To be eligible for this fellowship, candidates should possess, or be in the process of obtaining, a BSc or MSc degree in computer science, mathematics, or a related field. Strong backgrounds and a keen interest in mathematics and theoretical computer science are required of successful applicants; these can be demonstrated by performance in math or informatics Olympiads, publications in internationally renowned conferences or journals, or exceptional grades in pertinent courses.
- Admission Requirements: Each candidate must meet the following admission prerequisites:
- Professional credentials relevant to the Ph.D. project.
- Applicable publications.
- Applicable work experience.
- Other relevant professional activities.
- A curious attitude and a keen interest in topics linked to the role.
- Strong linguistic abilities.
- Language Requirement: You will need to demonstrate that you speak Danish or English fluently if English is not your first language. Two instances of valid evidence are the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) and the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). - Curriculum vitae outlining your training, work history, language proficiency, and other qualifications that are pertinent to the position
- Original certificates for Bachelor’s or Master’s degrees in science, together with transcripts of records in the original language (including an official translation into English if the degree was conferred in a language other than Danish or English). A certified/signed copy of a current transcript of records or a written statement from the supervisor or institution would be sufficient if a full application is not available.
